Active Clay Desiccant Instructions

There are many types of desiccants. The common and easily accessible ones on the market are the desiccants attached to foods. Their function is to prevent moisture and prevent the growth of various molds. Most of these desiccants are lime desiccants. Active mineral stone desiccant is a non-toxic, green and environmentally friendly product with excellent compatibility; it is degradable and can be treated as general waste. Mineral desiccant can be used in various fields that require moisture proofing, such as electronics, metals, food, pharmaceuticals, precision machinery, communications, electronics, military building materials, light industrial products, and containers. During our use, we must first understand the active mineral stone desiccant ingredients and instructions for use.

1. The clay desiccant is strictly in accordance with the requirements of the national standard "BB/T 0049-2008". The "BB/T 0049-2008" standard is applicable to the production and inspection of desiccants using silicate minerals as raw materials.

2. Technical requirements of active clay desiccant

  • Adsorption capacity: When the relative humidity is 20%, the adsorption capacity is 3g per 50g. When the relative humidity is 40%, the adsorption capacity is 6g per 50g.
  • The amount of water vapor adsorption for 7 hours: when the relative humidity is 40%, the smaller adsorption value is 0.25g, and when the relative humidity is 80%, the smaller adsorption value is 0.7g.
  • Number of units per bag of desiccant: The actual number of units per bag of desiccant is not less than 95% of the unit amount indicated on the bag logo.
  • PH: 4—8.

3. Packing, transportation and storage of active clay

  • Packing: This product adopts double-layer packaging, the inner bag is made of air-permeable and certain strength barrier composite material, and the outer bag is sealed with plastic film. The inner packaging is sealed by heat sealing to ensure the tightness of the seal. The outer tape is sealed by a sewing machine, the stitch length is uniform, and there is no leakage of stitches.
  • The active mineral stone desiccant should be protected from moisture during transportation. The packaging container should be handled with care, to avoid damage to the outer packaging bag, to prevent contact with acids and alkalis, and to avoid rain.
  • The active clay should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid moisture and volatilization.

4. The active clay has a shelf life of one year without damage, pollution or contact with chemical substances.

In addition, montmorillonite is also a kind of clay desiccant. The moisture absorption rate of montmorillonite desiccant is about 16%-25% under normal temperature and humidity. The moisture absorption rate is lower than that of silica gel, but the price is much cheaper than silica gel. Because it is a natural mineral, it is non-toxic and harmless, and can be naturally degraded.
