What is a unit Desiccant?

A unit is a relatively common desiccant adsorption unit abroad. Refers to the amount of desiccant that can absorb 3g of water under the condition of RH=20% and equilibrium temperature of 25°C (RH=20%).

According to the US Military Standard for Desiccant (Mil-D-3464E), the adsorption capacity of the bagged desiccant that meets the standard needs to meet:

A "unit" desiccant can absorb 3g of water under the condition of 25℃ equilibrium temperature (RH=20%).

A "unit" desiccant can adsorb 6g of water under the condition of 25℃ equilibrium temperature (RH=40%).

Specifically, one "unit" of montmorillonite desiccant is approximately equal to 33 grams, one "unit" of silica gel desiccant is approximately equal to 28 g and one "unit" of molecular sieve desiccant is equivalent to 28 grams.
